People v. JW

Weinberg successfully defended JW when he was charged with his 4th DUI. Weinberg won an acquittal after a bench trial at the Rolling Meadows courthouse. People v. JW

People v. AB

Weinberg won an acquittal for AB who was charged with possession with intent t distribute 106 grams of heroin.  AB was facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 9 years in the penitentiary.  Weinberg selected a jury to decide the case and AB was found NOT GUILTY after only 45 minutes of deliberation. Weinberg has also successfully asserted the shaken baby defense on two occasions when his clients were charged with aggravated battery to a child and were facing minimum sentences of 6 to 30 years in custody. In both cases the Court sent his clients home. People v. C.M.; People v. A.Z.

Weinberg’s reputation further soared when he successfully asserted the battered wife syndrome defense when his client who was unprovoked at the time, stabbed her husband to death with a kitchen knife. People v. L.L.
